What’s the main motivation for capturing one’s story?

Ask yourself: Would you have wanted a written record of family and life history from your parents or grandparents? Wouldn’t it be a true gift to be able to learn from their wisdom, even after their passing? You can provide that to your descendants. As well, this is a surefire way to be remembered as you see fit. You’ll be able to have your story presented to the world just as you’d like it. Our writers reflect your voice.

Couldn’t I write my full story and wisdom down myself?

Possibly, but what takes people years to do we do in just weeks—and most people who start writing their story on their own never finish. For the few who do finish without help after several years, they generally have an underbaked book that doesn’t capture their full impact on the world because it’s not guided by professional interviewers who kindly ask life’s big questions and listen intently.

As well, solo writers rarely have editors, proofreaders, cover designers, and book formatters at their disposal. We have a team of over 50 people who will make sure your life story shines.

Where do the interviews take place?

We do them over the phone, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, Zoom, or basically any platform—whatever you like the best.

I’m not very familiar with technology. Will this process be complicated?

No. You just talk; we do the rest.

Do I have to be "old" (whatever that means) to capture my story?

No. We recommend that you’re over 60. Even if you might have 40 years left on this planet (and we hope you have longer!), this is a great way to pause and reflect on your life to date. As well, no one is promised tomorrow so it’s best to get your story down today. We can always help you update it later.

Why should I do this now?

You owe it to yourself and your family to get your story down on paper while you can. Tomorrow is not guaranteed and we all, unfortunately, know countless people who have been here one day but not the next.

How do you ensure privacy?
